Bultman Wilson Consulting – Strategic process for your Solutions

Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 23, 2026

BWC HR Consulting (“BWC HR Consulting,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of everyone who interacts with us—website visitors, prospective and current clients, job applicants referred through our services, and the employees of the organizations we advise. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have over it.

Our website address is https://bwchrconsult.com.

If you have questions about this policy or how your information is handled, please contact us at wiltina@bwchrconsult.com or (301) 310-2776.

1. Who We Are

BWC HR Consulting provides human resources advisory, recruiting support, compliance, and workforce consulting services to organizations. Because of the nature of our work, we may process personal information not only about the visitors to our website but also—on behalf of our clients—about job applicants, employees, and other individuals connected to the HR engagements we support. This policy covers both.

2. Confidentiality of HR Engagement Data

As an HR consulting firm, we regularly receive sensitive, non-public information from our clients, including employee records, compensation data, performance and disciplinary records, applicant and background-check information, and internal workplace investigations.

  • We treat all client and employee data shared with us during an engagement as strictly confidential, and we access, use, and disclose it only as necessary to perform the agreed services or as required by law.

  • Access to confidential HR data is restricted to personnel and authorized subcontractors on a need-to-know basis, and any subcontractor or vendor with access is bound by written confidentiality obligations at least as protective as this policy.

  • We do not use client or employee data obtained through an engagement for any purpose outside that engagement, including marketing, without separate written authorization.

  • These confidentiality obligations survive the termination of any consulting engagement and remain in effect for as long as the information retains its confidential character, consistent with standard industry confidentiality and non-disclosure practices used across HR consulting and professional-services agreements.

3. Information We Collect

Website visitors and comments. When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user-agent string, to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be shared with the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public alongside your comment.

Contact and intake forms. If you submit a contact, consultation-request, or service-intake form, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email, phone number, company, and details about your HR needs) so we can respond to your inquiry.

Media. If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images that include embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract location data from images posted on the site.

HR client and applicant data. In the course of an engagement, we may collect personal information about our clients’ employees and job applicants—such as contact details, resumes, employment history, compensation, background-check results, and related workplace records—solely to deliver the contracted HR services. Our clients or their candidates provide this information to us, and we handle it under Section 2 above and any applicable client agreement.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide requested consulting services;

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the website;

  • Detect and prevent spam, fraud, and security incidents;

  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, including recordkeeping requirements applicable to employment and background-check data under laws such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and applicable state and federal employment laws; and

  • Communicate with you about our services, unless you opt out of marketing communications.

We do not sell personal information.

5. Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you do not have to re-enter your details when you leave another comment. These cookies last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we also set several cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last two days, and screen-option cookies last a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login persists for two weeks. If you log out, the login cookies are removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.

6. Embedded Content From Other Websites

Articles or pages on this site may include embedded content (for example, videos, images, or articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you visited that other website directly.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content — including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

7. Who We Share Your Data With

We share personal information only as needed to operate our business and deliver our services, including with:

  • Service providers who support our website and operations (e.g., hosting, spam detection, and email providers), under confidentiality and data-processing terms;

  • Background-check and applicant-tracking vendors, where engaged as part of an HR consulting assignment, and only to the extent authorized by the client and applicable law;

  • Legal or regulatory authorities, when required to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights; and

  • Our HR consulting clients, with respect to information gathered on their behalf during an engagement.

If you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the reset email.

We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

8. How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and automatically approve follow-up comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information in their user profile. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

For personal information processed on behalf of HR consulting clients (such as applicant or employee records), we retain the data only as long as necessary to complete the engagement and to satisfy any legal, contractual, or recordkeeping obligations (for example, retention periods required for background-check or employment records), after which it is securely deleted or returned to the client per the engagement agreement.

9. Your Rights Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you, except data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or U.S. state privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA), including the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, and share;

  • Access or request a copy of your personal information;

  • Correct inaccurate personal information;

  • Request deletion of your personal information;

  • Opt out of the sale or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell personal information); and

  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at wiltina@bwchrconsult.com or (301) 310-2776. If you are a job applicant or employee of one of our consulting clients and want to exercise rights over data we process on that client’s behalf, please also contact that employer directly, as they may be the party responsible for responding to your request.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards—including access controls and, where appropriate, encryption—to protect personal information, particularly the sensitive employee and applicant data we handle in HR consulting engagements, against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction).

12. Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam-detection service. Personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own; where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised effective date.
